Experience and Nature, first delivered as the Paul Carus lectures in 1925 and revised in 1929, represents John Dewey's most metaphysical statement. In this work Dewey challenges the traditional separation of "experience" and "nature" and argues for their continuity. He reinterprets both concepts through discussions of philosophical method, human knowledge, language and social factors, examining the relationship of mind and matter and the role of art, law and science. This hardcover edition is a reproduction of a historical volume and may contain minor imperfections but preserves the content of Dewey's influential work.
